The Kechi Impact Group was founded by 2025 Black Engineer of the Year Award recipient, Nkechi Anako, M.S., a recognized leader in strategic marketing, technology innovation, and cross-functional program management. With over 14 years of experience spanning manufacturing, research, market innovation and product development, Nkechi brings a unique blend of engineering expertise and business acumen to every engagement.
Holding degrees in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and The City College of New York, she began her career in the telecommunication industry where she has led groundbreaking initiatives in fiber optics, lean sustainability, and early-stage innovation. With her expertise in program management she has guided Stage 1–3 product development programs that align market insights with technological advancement.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Nkechi is a tireless advocate for diversity, equity, and STEM education. She mentors emerging engineers, leads STEM workshops for youth, and partners with organizations to build stronger, more inclusive futures.
